Portland continues to rank at the top of being one of the most if not THE most vegan friendly city in the U.S. While there’s classic spots in the city that continue to reign supreme in Portland, here’s some spots and newer concepts that you should definitely check out this month.
Epif
Located in the Kern’s neighborhood, for nearly a decade, Epif was known for plant-based versions of traditionally meat-centric dishes from the Andes region of South America (Chile, Peru, Argentina). But in late 2025, they transitioned from a South American-inspired dinner spot to a daytime-only brunch and lunch concept that is still 100% vegan. Offering dishes such as eggs Benedict (often using mung bean-based eggs), polenta cakes and pancakes, biscuits and mushroom gravy and even breakfast empanadas filled with soy crumble or chorizo.

Van Nien Vegan Baguette & Food & Coffee & Tea
You can get a combo meal for $10.90 that includes any baguette along with a Vietnamese coffee and coconut dessert.
This is a family-owned spot that offers delicious, and authentic vegan Vietnamese food, particularly its bánh mì, fresh salad rolls, and flavorful soups like vegan Bún bò Huế. Though they originally opened in 2020, they recently reopened after renovation and are now connected to the Linh Son Buddhist Temple, with a food cart/house setup and have great bubble tea! Hands down the best baguette in the city!

The Dusted Cup
Opened in the beginning of December 2025, this cafe focuses entirely on drinks and dishes infused with various functional mushrooms and other beneficial ingredients. Here you can enjoy "shroomthies" (mushroom smoothies), mushroom-infused matcha lattes and hot chocolate-esque brews, tofu scrambles, and breakfast sandwiches! They utilize a range of local mushrooms such as lion's mane, chaga, reishi, maitake, shiitake, cordyceps, and turkey tail, often provided as a "power up" or in an all-in-one blend called "Daily Dust".
727 SW Naito Pkwy, Portland, OR 97204
Adellada
A refined, upscale vegan Italian lounge and pasta residency that opened in October 2025. It is known for its creative, seasonal dishes, artisanal cocktails, and cozy, vinyl-backed atmosphere, sharing space with Vtopian Artisan Cheeses. It offers fresh, handmade pastas and small plates using local, organic, and wild-foraged ingredients, aiming for a warm, sophisticated yet relaxed vibe with attentive service and curated music.
103 NE Grand Ave, Portland, OR 97232
Memento Mori Cafe
Memento Mori has both savory dishes along with sweet pastries to choose from.
A goth-themed coffee shop known for its dark, macabre aesthetic, skull-shaped cakes, and creatively named vegan treats like "Goth-a-Chinos," offering a cozy, witchy vibe with spooky decor and lots of treats. They have fun elixirs and “potions”, savory dishes including breakfast sandwiches and even pastries from other vegan pastry vendors such as conchas from La Casa de Mama and macarons from Camellia Patisserie.
