Seattle's vegan scene offers diverse options, from upscale dining and comfort food to international flavors. There’s so many great spots to choose from! I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite spots for you to check out on your next trip to Seattle!

Voted Best in the PNW by the Seattle Times in both 2023 and 2024, this is a Seattle staple that has American diner, comfort food. They have an all-day breakfast with a menu that includes omelets, French toast, pancakes), sandwiches (Club, "Mac Daddy"), burgers, fried items (seitan), "chicken" & waffles, excellent fries, creative vegan sauces.

Araya’s Place has some of the best Thai food in Seattle!

This is Seattle's original, long-standing (since 1987) family-owned vegan Thai restaurant. They have two locations.

Chu Minh Tofu & Vegan Deli and Chu Minh Sandwiches & Coffee

One of my overall favorite spots in Seattle! Chu Minh Tofu is an all you can eat vegan buffet. It first opened in 2004 in Seattle’s Little Saigon and has become a staple over the years. Not only can you get enjoy their buffet for $24.95 or by the pound at $11 per pound (plus tax) they make the best banh mi. Their banh mis are loaded and there’s many proteins to choose from including BBQ “pork” and Lemongrass chick’n. Be sure to get their Vietnamese coffee too! Their original location has the buffet (and banh mi and boba), while their second and newer location only has their banh mi sandwiches.

Pizza Pi Vegan Pizzeria

A Seattle landmark! Pi Vegan is a long-standing 100% vegan pizzeria in the U-District. They are known for their creative plant-based pizzas like cashew ricotta and buffalo chik'n as well as classic comfort foods including calzones and mac & cheese. They even have gluten-free options too.

Vital Creations Vegan Bistro

Vital Creations Vegan Bistro is a great, casual, plant-based cafe located in Fremont. They have flavorful, and healthy vegan comfort food. Their menu includes an all-day breakfast as well as legendary smash burgers with house-made patties, authentic-tasting chorizo tacos, colorful acai bowls, and rich comfort dishes like Dirty Mac, all made with fresh, often organic, ingredients.

Harvest Beat

Each of the dishes at Harvest Beat are beautifully plated.

For a one-of-a-kind dining experience, Harvest Beat provides just that. I came here for my birthday, which you can read a more in-depth review here. They offer a multi-course dinner with dishes made from seasonal ingredients. Everyone’s 5-course meal is served at the same time along with an introduction to your dish by the servers. This is a great spot for a special occasion. Reservations here are mandatory.

Frankie & Jo’s

A Seattle-based, plant-based ice cream shop known for its unique, sophisticated flavors made from scratch with organic ingredients. Using nut milks as well as alternative sugars such as dates and maple along with superfoods. Creating creamy ice cream with creative combinations.

Dough Joy Donuts

These donuts are delicious! Handmade, plant-based donuts that are fluffy, yeast-raised donuts. Known for their unique flavors such as Cereal Killer, PB&H and even savory donuts like the Everything Bagel. A must try if you have a sweet tooth!

Cafe Flora

Cafe Flora’s delicious mushroom Wellington.

With an emphasis on local, organic and sustainable produce, Cafe Flora has become a long-standing vegetarian restaurant, open since 1991. They have a beautiful, bright, plant-filled atrium that adds to your dining experience. They have many exceptional vegan options and are a great spot for both brunch and dinner. Because they focus on local and sustainability, their menu does change (but their massive vegan cinnamon roll for brunch is always there). Reservations are highly recommended as this place gets packed!

Made In House

Fremont's beloved Korean cafe and deli, serves innovative, fresh dishes and has many and clearly marked vegan options. Some of their signature dishes include their crispy kale tempura and flavorful bibimbop from a hot stone pot, alongside creative house-made milks and teas.

The Flora Bakehouse

Sister restaurant to Cafe Flora, Flora Bakehouse is a community-focused bakery. They have exceptional sweet & savory pastries with vegan options, house-baked breads, Stumptown coffee, and soft-serve, all served in a welcoming, plant-filled space with a year-round rooftop deck offering Mt. Rainier views. They also have great breakfast items including a vegan breakfast burrito!. A beautiful spot to come and relax.

Hello Robin

Hello Robin has the perfect vegan chocolate chip cookie.

A beloved, woman-owned bakery with 3 locations in Seattle. They are famous for its unique, handcrafted cookies as well as their delicious ice cream sandwiches with Molly Moon's ice cream. If you like a cookie that is thick, soft, chewy then these are the cookies for you! They have vegan options as well to make your own ice cream sandwich. A great spot for dessert in Capitol Hill.
